Why the international monetary system will collapse...
Editor's note: We're continuing our holiday Digest series with another presentation from our Stansberry Conference Series event in Nashville, Tennessee. Today's installment comes from one of the top financial minds we know...
We were thrilled when Jim Rickards agreed to speak at our conference... His speech was one of the most anticipated of the entire year.
As regular Digest readers know, Jim is a financial and currency expert. He's a lawyer who has also worked at hedge funds and has consulted for the financial crime divisions of major government agencies like the CIA. He even negotiated the bailout of failed hedge fund Long Term Capital Management, which nearly brought the economy to its knees in 1998.
Of course, Jim is also the author of bestsellers Currency Wars and The Death of Money.
In Nashville, he spoke about debt, deficits, money printing, and the Federal Reserve's balance sheet.
He discussed – in detail – paradigm shifts and why the monetary system will absolutely collapse.
In the past 100 years, the international monetary system has collapsed three times – in 1914, 1939, and 1971. Each collapse was followed by a period of tumult: war, civil unrest, or significant damage to the stability of the global economy.
As Jim pointed out, our Fed "experts" have failed to predict or prevent the economic catastrophes of recent years. Not only have their theories failed to prevent calamity, but they are making the economy worse.
He believes that another collapse is rapidly approaching... And it will be greater than any financial catastrophe in history, simply because the scale of the system is greater than it has ever been before.
You can watch Jim's compelling speech below...

Editor's note: Jim is one of the most brilliant financial minds we know... which is why we invited him to speak at our event in Nashville.
It's also why we arranged a deal with him to give our readers free copies of his latest book, The Death of Money.
If you're worried about what's happening in the economy today, Jim's book is a must-read. We even convinced him to write a special "bonus" chapter exclusively for Stansberry Research subscribers. In it, he explains the assets he recommends you hold when the system collapses.
The book is yours to keep. We just ask you cover the $4.95 shipping and handling. You can get your copy right here.
Also, you can get online access to every single presentation from all four events this year. As we explained yesterday, the offer only lasts this week.
Plus, if you decide to access these talks, we're also giving you online access to what we expect will be the best investment event of 2015. It will take place in Vancouver. To get the full details, click here.
