Porter Stansberry founded Stansberry Research in 1999 with the firm's flagship publication, Stansberry's Investment Advisory.

Prior to launching Stansberry Research, Porter was the first American editor of the Fleet Street Letter, the world's oldest English-language financial newsletter.

After more than 20 years in the industry, Porter retired in 2020 to take a well-deserved break from the day-to-day operations of the business.
