About The Ferris Report

Dan Ferris created The Ferris Report to exploit opportunities created by developing macro and micro trends in the wake of the largest financial mega-bubble in recorded history.

His goal with The Ferris Report is to help you navigate what follows that mega-bubble – the investing "dead zone" that may become the most difficult decade in living memory... a critical period that could strip unsuspecting investors of their hard-earned wealth.

To fulfill that goal, The Ferris Report will feature investment recommendations that give you a direct stake in the major trends developing now and during the difficult times ahead. It will cover a wide variety of industries based on the primary economic and financial developments occurring in the global economy at any given time.

Most investment recommendations will fall under one of two categories: individual stocks or baskets of stocks held by exchange-traded funds ("ETFs").

Most individual stocks will be large, liquid companies that are easy to buy and sell... typically, names with at least $1 billion in market cap and that trade hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of shares a day.

ETFs let you buy whole industries, like semiconductors or aerospace and defense, in just one transaction. They also allow investors to buy representative baskets of stocks from various countries, like Japan, China, or the United Kingdom.

Large, liquid stocks and ETFs are among the easiest securities in the world to buy and sell quickly.

Publication Overview
How often is this service published?
Monthly (fourth Wednesday of every month)
How much capital should I have to get started?
You can start with as little as $1,000 and limit yourself to one or two shares per recommendation.
What will we be buying?
Stocks and ETFs.
Do you put on short trades?
No. But we on rare occasions, we may recommend buying inverse ETFs.
What's a typical holding period?
We make recommendations to exploit medium- and long-term trends, which we expect to last years or possibly even decades. We won't always be perfectly right and will adopt the practice of all the greatest traders in history: cutting losses quickly and letting winning positions run their course.

I can't know what the result will be. But if I had to guess, I'd say we'll have some recommendations that will last a few years and some that will have to be cut in a matter of months.
