Fred joined the Crypto Capital team in 2018 after five years actively mining and investing in the crypto industry.

He’s particularly interested in decentralized finance (DeFi) and decentralized governance, which he believes could change the way people collaborate… eventually becoming more important than companies and corporations. Fred developed Stansberry’s proprietary crypto ratings system, which algorithmically surfaces potential investment opportunities. And in 2019, he won third place in a crypto investment analyst competition hosted by BlockTower Capital, one of the industry’s largest and most-respected venture capital firms with more than $130 million under management.

Prior to joining Stansberry Research, Fred worked as a reporter and tech columnist for the Palm Beach Post in Florida. He's also a self-trained web developer who has coded for start-ups and international tech companies. These days, Fred travels to different cryptocurrency conferences around the world and draws on his technical background to help uncover investment opportunities for Crypto Capital subscribers.
