These Two Cryptocurrency Experts Remain Bullish Today

Highlights from day two of the 2017 Stansberry Las Vegas Conference... Ferris: It's time to prepare for the 'meltdown'... These two cryptocurrency experts remain bullish today... Must-see: Exclusive 'behind the scenes' interviews with this year's presenters...

Today, we're wrapping up our coverage of the 2017 Stansberry Conference...

Day two of the event at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada kicked off with a handful of fascinating speakers from outside the investment world...

First, Kenneth Cukier – senior editor of digital products at The Economist, and co-author of Big Data: A Revolution That Will Transform How We Live, Work, and Think – explained why much of what we've heard about artificial intelligence is wrong.

Next, award-winning journalist and bestselling author Bryce Hoffman shared the research behind his new book, Red Teaming, and explained how individuals and businesses alike can use critical and contrarian thinking to make better decisions. He also showed step by step how you can apply this strategy to dramatically improve your investment results.

Multimillionaire entrepreneur Bedros Keuilian shared his "four pillars of effective leadership," which he credits for his transformation from a self-described "poor leader" to one of the top business coaches in America.

And Clinton Watts – senior fellow at the Center for Cyber and Homeland Security at George Washington University – delivered what was likely the most controversial presentation of the week.

While the details are beyond the scope of the Digest, Watts presented compelling – and startling – evidence that Russia is using social media to manipulate U.S. public opinion in ways you may not believe.

One of the most notable presentations of the day came from our colleague Dan Ferris...

It's no secret that the past few years have been tough for many investors. And that's particularly true for value investors...

As Dan – editor of our value-focused Extreme Value advisory – explained, virtually everything is overvalued today. By many measures, stocks are near their richest valuations in history. And even legendary investors are struggling...

Value great Seth Klarman plans to return a big chunk of investor money because there's simply nothing he can buy... Jeff Ubben, co-founder of ValueAct Capital, is returning $1.25 billion to investors... The well-known Viking Global Investors hedge fund is returning $8 billion... And even Warren Buffett is sitting on $100 billion he doesn't know what to do with.

So what should you do with this information?

No, Dan doesn't recommend selling all your stocks. Even he admits that the "Melt Up" could continue awhile longer.

But he also believes that every investor should start preparing for the meltdown that is sure to follow. And he laid out four simple steps you can take today...

First, avoid wildly overvalued assets. Today, he says that includes most stocks, bonds, and other long-duration assets.

Next, hold plenty of cash...

Sell short shares of deteriorating businesses, like those he's been shorting in Extreme Value recently...

And buy cheap assets when and where you can find them.

On a more positive note, Dan believes the coming meltdown will create incredible opportunities for patient value investors.

History shows periods where growth stocks dramatically outperform value stocks are inevitably followed by periods where value leads again. Dan believes we're approaching another "Golden Age of Value Investing."

Attendees also heard two expert presentations on the burgeoning cryptocurrency markets...

Tama Churchouse is an editor for our corporate affiliate Stansberry Churchouse Research... He's one of the most knowledgeable analysts in the "crypto" markets today.

Tama showed why Asia is the key to understanding – and profiting from – bitcoin and other digital currencies. He also explained why he remains bullish on the space despite obvious signs of froth, and shared his advice for crypto "newbies" now.

He was followed by Teeka Tiwari, editor for our corporate affiliate Palm Beach Research Group. Teeka has been following these markets closely for nearly two years. He has amassed the most impressive track record in the industry over that time.

Like Tama, Teeka remains incredibly bullish on cryptocurrencies. He shared the specific criteria he looks for when considering a crypto investment... explained what every investor needs to know about initial coin offerings, or "ICOs" (hint: up to 95% of them are worthless)... and shared three of his favorite cryptos you can buy today.

It wouldn't be fair to conference attendees to share the details here. But if you're considering investing even a penny in cryptocurrencies, you can't afford to miss what they said. These two presentations alone are likely to pay for the cost of "admission" many times over.

Of course, it's too late to attend this year's event live and in person... But for a limited time, you can still experience every minute for yourself via our online "All-Access Pass."

You'll get immediate access to high-definition videos of every presentation...

And you can watch and re-watch these presentations as often as you'd like until December 31. Click here to sign up now.

One last note before we sign off today...

If you missed it, our colleagues at the Stansberry NewsWire have been hard at work all week...

They've been producing exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with each of the speakers at the 2017 Stansberry Conference and Alliance Meeting. These videos are 100% free for you to watch, even if you choose not to buy our All-Access Pass.

In the mailbag, more great feedback on this year's Stansberry Las Vegas Conference and Porter's big news. We'd love to hear from you, too... Let us know what you thought at feedback@stansberryresearch.com.

"Many thanks for the Stansberry Digest summary on the Las Vegas Conference. Very interesting information. Couldn't make it this year for medical reasons. Wish I was there. I will be next year." – Paid-up Stansberry Alliance member Wayne Silzel

"Hi, I am thoroughly enjoying watching the Las Vegas Conference from the comfort of my home! The speakers have all been amazing and I am learning a lot! Thanks Porter and team!" – Paid-up subscriber Stansberry Alliance member Roy Pager

"What can I say? [The Stansberry Terminal is] just an absolutely phenomenal idea. I'll never regret becoming a full Alliance member and Lifetime TradeStops member in 2016. Richard continuously adds value to his product, and so does Stansberry.

"I've never seen anything like this sort of off-the-charts value creation in the financial arena. I continue to be amazed at the future value of my membership in both cases... Thank you for being truly world-class!" – Paid-up Stansberry Alliance member Shawn Stewart

"I REALLY like the idea behind Stansberry Terminal, esp. if you include the magic of TradeStops in it. Please proceed toward offering it to subscribers QUICKLY." – Paid-up Stansberry Alliance member Carl Johnston

"Hi Porter, I was early into computers and taught myself programming many, many years ago. I have also beta tested products for 35 years if you need a beta tester I'm in." – Paid-up subscriber Craig R.

"I am subscriber of several Stansberry pubs, TradeStops, and the Stansberry Investor Hour. I work in the software biz trying to break software and have a passion for investing. I would love to be a beta tester of the new Terminal!" – Paid-up subscriber Jim A.

"Porter & team – I've been an Alliance member for nearly 10 years, and a daily reader of your work. Thank you for putting out such an amazing product, and for continually trying to make it better.

"I am also a professional bond trader and I have used Bloomberg for the last 15 years. If you would like me to beta test the new Terminal or review it in any way, I would be happy to offer my thoughts. It's the least I can do after making so much money from your ideas over the last decade." – Paid-up Stansberry Alliance subscriber Dylan Blair

"I read in today's Digest that you are planning to begin 'beta' testing by the end of this year of the Stansberry Terminal offering. What would one have to do to be a beta tester? I would like to volunteer to be a beta tester if that is a possibility." – Paid-up subscriber Jack Reitzel

Brill comment: Thank you for the interest. We are looking for a limited number of experienced software users to help us test the Terminal later this year. If this describes you, please send a short description of your experience to feedback@stansberryresearch.com. Please use the subject line "Stansberry Terminal Beta Testing."
