This Beaten-Down Asset Has Triple-Digit Upside

In 2022, gold wasn't doing its job.
That's what the mainstream media said, at least. Inflation was soaring, but gold wasn't keeping up. Normally, gold prices tend to rise when folks want a better store of value than the dollar.
Forbes ran the headline "Why the Gold Price Is Broken" that October...
Then, gold started to break out in 2023. It went on one of its best runs in history... rallying 160%-plus in a few short years.
This kind of comeback story isn't unique to gold, and it isn't that unusual. Other commodities go through boom-and-bust cycles all the time.
And as I'll explain today, one commodity – of sorts – is set up for a big new rally...
Crypto Bounces Back
I'm talking about bitcoin.
Toward the end of 2025, the cryptocurrency was entering a new bear market. After hitting highs of more than $120,000 that October, it fell to around $90,000 in November.
By midsummer this year, it had dropped below $60,000 a coin.
But now, bitcoin is rallying back. The crypto has soared roughly 40% since the end of June... And based on its technical outlook, this bull run looks durable.
That's because bitcoin's resistance just turned to support.
Support and resistance are deeply interrelated. Both describe a level where, after hitting it, an asset's daily prices tend to reverse.
If an asset drops to a lower price level but then gets bid up by the bulls, it has found "support." Prices bounce higher – and a longer uptrend usually ensues.
But if the bulls fail to appear, that price level flips to "resistance." Instead of bulls bidding shares up, bears step in to drive shares down... and a longer downtrend often follows.
In August, bitcoin spiked above $80,000 – a level that offered textbook resistance back in May.
At first, the crypto drifted lower from there. But that downtrend reversed in mid-September.
And bitcoin just shot up to around $85,000, blowing past its resistance level from earlier this year.
This breakout puts bitcoin back above its May high. Take a look...
The chart above displays a classic example of how resistance turns into support. When bitcoin hit $80,000 in early September, it wobbled as bulls and bears negotiated that price level.
At first, the level appeared to act as a short-term top, just as it had in May. But once bitcoin caught a bid, it soared through that price point. Going forward, the $80,000 level is more likely to act as a floor for bitcoin than a ceiling.
The September spike is a decisively bullish signal. Cryptocurrencies look ready to thaw.
With bitcoin's previous resistance level failing, a new "crypto spring" is likely upon us. Bitcoin is poised to rise rapidly from here, with the potential for triple-digit gains.
Good investing,

While cryptocurrencies remain curiosities for many investors, businesses are warming to their possibilities. And one of the world's most important industries could save as much as $60 billion per year by moving some services to the blockchain.
Investors spend far too much time worrying about perfect timing – especially with alternative investments like cryptos or precious metals. But the best timing in the world doesn't matter if you get the big picture wrong.
